Satire on Confederate Statue Issue
Satire is always a great way to deal with prevalent views on political issues, and to change people's minds by showing just how preposterous their views are. This is certainly the case in a piece by Bob Vulfov, titled, As Your Doctor, I am Protesting the Removal of Your Tumor Because I don't Want to Erase Your Medical History, in which Vulfov compares President Trump's reaction to the removal of Confederate statues to a doctor telling a patient that he is against removing the patient's tumor because doing so would erase an important part of their medical history. The President tweeted, "Sad to see the history and culture of our great country being ripped apart with the removal of our beautiful statues and monuments." Vulfov compares the Confederate monuments to a tumor, and President Trump to a doctor.
